Signet Federal Credit Union® Earns First-Place Excellence in Outreach Award from Kentucky’s Credit Unions
State recognition honors three Signet outreach campaigns and adds to the credit union’s growing list of state and national marketing achievements
PADUCAH, Ky. — Signet Federal Credit Union® has earned first place for Excellence in Outreach in its asset category from Kentucky’s Credit Unions, recognizing the combined impact of three initiatives submitted for the statewide award: Signet-ure Summer, Voices of the Vault and Start with Kindness.
Together, the campaigns showcased three ways Signet connects with the communities it serves—from expanding financial education and preserving local history to encouraging acts of kindness throughout Western Kentucky.
“What makes this award especially meaningful is that it wasn’t based on one campaign or one moment,” said Katelynn Rowe, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Signet Federal Credit Union®. “We submitted three very different initiatives that each represented a different side of outreach at Signet—education, storytelling and community impact. To see the collective work recognized with first place at the state level reinforces that outreach is not something we do occasionally. It is part of how we serve.”
Signet-ure (pronounced Signature) Summer — a community-focused initiative that combined engagement with financial education, creating approachable opportunities to connect families with financial resources and conversations.
Voices of the Vault — a historical storytelling campaign preserving the voices and experiences of past Signet leaders while connecting the credit union’s modern-day mission to its roots dating back to 1939.
Start with Kindness — a community initiative built around encouraging intentional acts of kindness and demonstrating how small actions can create a larger positive impact throughout Western Kentucky.
The state honor also adds to a growing year of recognition for Signet. Earlier this year, Voices of the Vault earned a national Category’s Best Diamond Award in Brand Awareness from America’s Credit Unions, recognizing Signet among credit unions across the country for excellence in marketing and communications.
“Recognition at both the state and national level is something our entire organization can be proud of,” Rowe said. “It shows that meaningful work does not have to begin with the biggest budget or the biggest team. It begins with knowing your community, understanding your purpose and creating something people genuinely want to be part of.”
For Signet, that purpose traces back to its founding in 1939, when local railroad workers pooled their resources to create a credit union built on coworkers helping coworkers. More than 85 years later, that same People Helping People philosophy continues to influence how Signet serves, educates and connects with Western Kentucky.
“These awards are exciting additions to our trophy case, but what they represent matters even more,” Rowe added. “They represent our members, our team and the communities that continue to trust us with their stories. That is the kind of impact we want our work to have.”
