Signet Federal Credit Union Breaks Ground on Future Southside Branch

PADUCAH, KY (March 31, 2026) — Signet Federal Credit Union officially broke ground today on its future Paducah Southside branch at 2551 Irvin Cobb Drive, marking an exciting step forward in its long-standing mission to serve Western Kentucky. The new location reflects nearly two years of planning and investment aimed at creating a more modern, accessible, and member-focused space for the future.

“We have served this community since 1939, and we’re proud of where we’ve been—but even more excited about where we’re going,” said Jimmilyn Hancock, CEO and President of Signet Federal Credit Union. “Today isn’t just about a new building. It’s about making sure we continue to grow alongside the members and communities who have trusted us for generations. Together, we are Signet.”

For more than 30 years, Signet’s branch at 333 Tully Street has been a place of service, relationships, and community connection. As the needs of members have evolved, the credit union recognized the opportunity to create a branch designed to better support both current and future generations.

The new Southside branch will offer expanded space, updated technology, and improved accessibility to enhance the member experience and support continued growth. Once completed, services currently provided at the Tully Street branch will transition to the new facility.

The Southside project has been in development for nearly two years and now officially enters its construction phase. While the original completion estimate was Summer 2026, project timelines have shifted due to construction-related factors, with the new branch now expected to begin taking shape in early 2027.

Signet leadership said the investment represents more than physical growth—it reflects the credit union’s continued focus on strengthening the ways it serves its members and the broader Western Kentucky community.

“We’re grateful for the continued support of our members and community, and we look forward to sharing more updates as construction progresses,” Hancock said.

Signet also recognized the partners who helped move the project from vision to reality, including architectural firm K-4, construction partner MP Lawson Construction, and its volunteer Board of Directors.

As the oldest financial institution founded in Paducah still operating today, Signet continues to build on its legacy of people helping people—investing in spaces, services, and relationships that will serve Western Kentucky for years to come.
